    Common solutions for treating excess grease

    Grease treatment by conventional methods

    In many families, housewives often use ingredients available in the house such as: baking soda, white vinegar, boiling water,... to unclog pipes. However, these solutions only work to break the shape of the grease but the texture remains the same. Clumped grease will continue to move in the pipe, continue to harden and cause blockage of drains. Not to mention that these methods can also harm the drainage system.

    Mechanical treatment of grease

    Using a cable or drain blower is a common method of mechanical grease treatment. Fat will be difficult to separate completely if only these mechanical methods are used.

    ·        Difficulty in accessing the entire system: In cases where the pipes are too long or the structure is complex, the application of mechanical clogging methods such as cables, drain cleaners, or pressure sprays will make it difficult to reach the entire length of the system. Grease treatment will only be effective in locations where the device can reach, while long pipe segments or hidden corners may not be thoroughly addressed. In particular, the pressure or friction from the cable can gradually decrease when traveling over a long distance, causing grease or waste in pipe segments far from the inlet to be completely cleaned

    Treatment of grease by chemical method

    The treatment of grease by chemical method will require the use of chemicals to remove grease in wastewater storage tanks or in pipes and sewers. This method is effective in treating grease quickly but only temporarily. In addition, the use of chemicals is also discouraged because it can affect the final wastewater treatment results, which is not environmentally friendly.
