Environmental treatment solutions for the livestock industry
The livestock industry plays an important role in economic development. But it also causes considerable pressure on the issue of protecting the environment of land, water and air. In that context, biotechnology was born to help solve environmental problems for the livestock industry in a sustainable way, helping to protect the health of humans and animals.
Understanding these difficulties, Biofix constantly improves and provides a group of solutions:
- Odor of barns
- Livestock wastewater treatment
- Composting
To help farms and livestock farmers complete the closed treatment process from the receiving source to the discharge point into the environment.
Let's follow the specific solutions with BioFix!
1. Odor from barns, around the farm area and wastewater odor
Odor from livestock farms is caused by the anaerobic decomposition or septic decomposition of manure and urine of livestock and poultry. This odor affects the working environment of workers, the living environment of people around, especially the health of livestock, reducing resistance or affecting meat quality.
Therefore, farms and breeders need a long-term solution to control odors to achieve the best efficiency, safe for humans and livestock. That is the method of treating odors using biological technology, with the odor-removing microbial preparation Biofix SOC-S, which is currently trusted by farms.
Odor control: With a biologically active formula, Biofix SOC-S completely eliminates odors by eliminating the organic source (such as urine, feces, leftover food, etc.) of the odor-causing agent. The product controls odors with an integrated 3-layer mechanism. Therefore, it will control odors comprehensively, helping farmers save costs during the treatment process.
See more: Deodorizing mechanism of Biofix SOC-S microbiological preparation
Cleaning, PH balance: Biofix SOC-S biologically active neutral detergent also supports cleaning and refreshing by digesting the source of odors. In addition to the above outstanding advantages, the product's outstanding advantages such as high water mixing ratio help farmers and farms save costs and still ensure efficiency while reducing flies and fly larvae.
2. Livestock wastewater treatment
In addition to the problem of odors, farms and ranches also have difficulty in treating livestock wastewater. Normally, biological measures, microorganisms available in organic substances help reduce biological pollution indicators, but the amount of these microorganisms is very small and the ability to adapt to environmental activities is low, leading to substandard wastewater. At the same time, the input wastewater is continuously supplemented with weak microorganisms, which can easily lead to substandard wastewater. Therefore, biological tanks always need to maintain microbiological factors. Depending on the type of tank and different functions, we choose probiotics to suit their functions:
Biogas tank: Where the anaerobic fermentation process takes place, anaerobic microorganisms use the abundant organic content in wastewater to grow and develop, the products of the above process are CH4, CO2 and other gases such as H2S in small amounts. To promote the anaerobic fermentation process, we add Biofix 114 probiotics, promoting the decomposition of complex organic substances and creating methane gas.
BioFix 114 has a combination of biological minerals and biological stimulants to promote the anaerobic decomposition process. Including anaerobic microorganisms and facultative microorganisms, helping to support the decomposition of organic and inorganic compounds in wastewater.
In addition, BioFix 114 also adds active enzymes, helping to enhance the ability to limit filamentous bacteria. The product is a combination of billions of facultative microorganisms and anaerobic microorganisms specially isolated to treat oil, animal fat and polluting compounds in wastewater. The strong active enzymes in the product will enhance and promote the decomposition of organic compounds in wastewater to form CH4, CO2 and water.
Anoxic tank: Where the Nitrification process takes place, in an oxygen-deficient environment, microorganisms will reduce Nitrate (NO3–) and Nitrite (NO2–) according to the metabolic chain: NO3– → NO2– → N2O → N2↑
The formed molecular nitrogen gas N2 will escape from the water and go outside. In this process, microorganisms will help treat Ammonia in wastewater, especially livestock wastewater with very high Ammonia content. Therefore, it is necessary to periodically add Biofix Ammonia probiotics to promote the Nitrogen treatment process.Biofix Ammonia contains Pseudomonas bacteria, considered the most active denitrifying strain, which uses nitrite/nitrate for respiration if the dissolved oxygen level drops below a critical level in the aeration tank (anoxic conditions). This also results in lower nitrogen levels. Pseudomonas is capable of using nitrite as well as nitrate for growth purposes if ammonia is no longer available in the system.
Microbial growth with BioFix Ammonia results in the removal of nitrogen from the wastewater, rather than a conversion of ammonium to nitrate (NO3) or nitrite (NO2), (as with conventional liquid ammonia oxidation products).
Aeration tank: After the anoxic process in the Anoxic tank, the wastewater is pumped into the Aerotank, starting the aerobic treatment process, treating the BOD, COD levels. In aerobic conditions due to the air supply system installed at the bottom of the tank, aerobic microorganisms use organic matter as food to grow, develop, and create new sludge and biomass. Aerotank tanks have a very high organic treatment efficiency, which can reach 70 - 90%. For the COD, BOD, and Nitrogen treatment process in the aerobic tank to be highly effective.
We need to add Biofix 5C probiotics including selected microbial strains to increase the amount of microorganisms for the aerobic treatment process. Promote the decomposition of complex organic matter and biological pollution.
3. Composting from livestock activities
Waste from livestock activities can be recycled and has a very high value. These types of manure are very good for plants, but if the manure has not decomposed completely, it will contain many types of harmful fungi, so adding Biofix Composting during the composting process will help the decomposition process take place faster and at the same time create a beneficial microorganism system to fight against fungi.
Benefits of composting manure before fertilizing plants
Destroy pathogens in fresh manure
Promote the decomposition of organic matter
Create essential nutrients for plants
Avoid competition for nutrients
Benefits of composted manure for the soil
Therefore, to increase the efficiency and quality of composting. We need to add Biofix Composting to:
Promote the decomposition of organic matter
Shorten the composting time
Add beneficial microorganisms
Reduce odors arising during the composting process
BioFix operates with the motto "Providing the most optimal solutions for partners, accompanying and being a reliable supplier for farmers". Therefore, BioFix is committed to providing farmers with the safest and most effective solutions for odor treatment, livestock wastewater, and composting. Please share the problems you are facing to receive support from BioFix's experienced technical team!
